Ready Steady Grow!
From January this year we are running “Ready, Steady, Grow!” – a year-long series of bi-monthly sessions to be held in the Victoria Hall for the purpose of bringing new members to the club with little or no gardening experience. We want to encourage people who are interested in gardening but need a bit more stimulus to make a real go of it and turn their square of turf into something beautiful and productive. Every two months a panel of experienced gardeners from the club will discuss gardening basics and essentials, and look at what are the relevant jobs in the coming two months, as well as in the months ahead. Each session there will be practical demonstrations, question and answer sessions and of course time to socialise and make new gardening friends. The cost of attending “Ready, Steady, Grow!” will be £20 for the whole six sessions, and this will include full membership of the club (currently £15 per year) and all the associated benefits and discounts, from twelve monthly club meetings to big discounts on seeds and at local garden centres. We are sure this represents excellent value for any keen and budding new gardeners or anyone who feels they need to brush up on the basics and meet new people. More details including dates and times will be announced soon, so keep an eye out. In the mean time if you would like to register your interest then please contact me to find out more or reserve your place.
