Gardens and Gardening, Friendship and Fun, Learning and Sharing
Welcome to Fordham & District Garden Club website.
2010 was a great year for the club. We had a full calendar of top quality speakers and events, and reached out to the surrounding area to make our activities available to as many people as possible. Membership was on the up, and we started to run an after-school club, the Fordham & District garden Club 'Sprouts', for the children at Fordham School. The annual show was our biggest and best ever, with record entries and attendance, the open gardens were well received and the summer outing to RHS Wisley was a huge success and a great day out.
This year promises to be just as interesting, with the launch of our informal gardening course for beginners and novice gardeners - "Ready, Steady, Grow". See the seperate page on this website for more details. The calendar for 2011 has also been confirmed and can be viewed in the Forthcoming Events section of the News and Events page. Also accessible from within the News and Events page is the transcript of this year's Chairman's speech from the AGM - worth a read for anyone interested in the clubs activities.
The website provides an online resource for all the clubs activities, and is regularly updated to bring you news of club activities and upcoming garden-related local events. If you would like to have your local event listed, or have any interesting links, feedback or suggestions on how to improve the site, then please get in touch using the contact details provided.
Happy Gardening!
